Terms and Conditions

A prerequisite for opening a G-Deposito account is a commitment to build up at least 2 oz. of gold (1 troy ounce, abbreviation: oz. = 31.104 g).

One-time Costs

• Standard 3.5 percent, from 500 oz. (approx. 15.5 kg) 1.5 percent commission on the target investment amount on the day of account opening

Ongoing Account and Storage Fees

• Up to a target investment of 10oz., a reduced annual account fee of 0.8 g of gold applies. For all larger G-Depositos, the annual fee is 1.5 g
• Standard annual storage fee of 0.7 percent, from 500 oz. 0.6 percent on the average holdings of the gold granulate

Payments

• Additional deposits and withdrawals are possible from 100 CHF / EUR
• Unlimited transactions per month included
• Current purchase, exchange, and selling prices at bb-wertmetall.ch

Taxation

• VAT – uniform. All purchases, sales and exchanges in the G-Deposito are exempt from VAT. The residence of G-Deposito owners is not relevant.
• Income taxes are country-specific. Swiss customers do not pay tax on capital gains, German customers do not pay tax on capital gains provided the holding period is at least 12 months. Customers from other countries ensure any taxation themselves.
• Wealth tax – country-specific. Swiss customers include the deposit statements in their wealth declaration, German customers are currently not subject to wealth tax.
• Deposit management fee as well as storage fee are subject to VAT for Swiss residents.

Storage / Custody

• Storage in the Swiss bonded warehouse (secure warehouse)
• Fully insured

The Exchange Function

• You can transfer holdings to other G-Deposito owners at any time. A signed instruction by email with scan or by post is sufficient
• Transaction instructions are executed on the trading day on which BB Wertmetall AG has received the instruction by 12:00 noon
• Both involved G-Deposito owners receive a notification upon execution
